My name’s Jo, I’m a student and seasoned procrastibaker
I always tend to stick to the same old recipes – vanilla sponge, chocolate cake, apple pies – nothing remotely adventurous or exciting. I want to change that. I want to be able to look at recipes at put my own spin on them, to know which ingredients work together to create something special, and which ingredients you should keep apart at all costs. This is where the blog comes in – I want to record this journey through the world of baking, so that I can keep track of my progress, and maybe even encourage a couple of other people to try new recipes in the process.
So the plan is to start simple – kick off with a few basic recipes, maybe try doing a couple of different things with them, and develop from there. I can’t promise amazing things, but I can promise to record the whole journey: the good bits, and the inevitable messy and disastrous bits. So, here goes!
